This post is VERY late due to this here blogger’s busy schedule! The photos below are snapshots of the art event that happened two weeks ago. However, we at art in harlem are working hard get things together for the next show, and addition to other surprises for you all! The event lasted from 11 am to 10 pm, and was attended by over 70 people. We featured art and performance by the following individuals: (in alphabetical order): Donald Andrew Agarrat, Wong Dowling, Niki Hampton, Lawrence Harding, Damond Haynes, Herukhuti, Ben Jones, Jerome Jordan, Larry D. Lyons II, Jesal Mehta, Mingus, Shuji Nakamura, Betty Odabashian, Freddie Pena, Alicia Piller, Millery Polyne, James Reynolds, Cynthia Rollins, Ron Singleton, Cheryl Boyce Taylor, and Zee. We had over 40 pieces of art on display and one special installation (you HAD to be there!) Hats off to folks like Bernie Tarver who made lasagna and bana bread (oh so good!) and many others who brought food and energy to our space.
