What this place needs is a good cleaning...after I finish building this log cabin.

So there's a lot to say, but since I have three thousand things to do, I'll make it short.
Hey, what's that? You want to me to come and speak tomorrow to a group of librarians about the Black Gay and Lesbian Archive and the Hip-Hop Archive, is that what you said? Oh, I'd love that! I've nothing else to do. I know I heard you right. You said you wanted me to write about Hurricane Katrina. Sure, sure, I'll get on it right after I finish my speech about the BGLA and the HHAP. Which will have to wait until I meet Larry. We're about to plan our wedding. Yeah, I know what people say about homos and weddings trying to be like heteros but that's not it, really. We will making a declaration, a statement, not following traditions that have orppressions millions since...wait, hold on, I gotta get the phone. Hello? Oh yeah, yeah I'm just about done, I just need a few more da...yes, I know I said I'd have it done. Well, okay I'll finis..hold on...Hello? Oh my...I'm really sorry to hear that...really...can I call you back? Yeah...I'll meet you at the hospital later tonight...Ok..okay...okay...I'm sure they can reattach your leg...okay, I'll be there....bye. Hello? Yes, yes, I will get the article to you tonight, no problem. No, I'll get it done. Yep. Well, I'll stay up all night then...okay. Talk to you. Later. Okay, now where was I?
Tuesday, September 13, 2005 @ 08:58 PMLove ur blog ..love u and Larry..
Rest and come back soon....
both of u..
I so enjoy this blog, and this entry. Heru, I got it! Maybe others did too, but chose to focus on another POV. Also, Were the impending nuptials that hidden until recently (this post)?
Anyway, never one to prescribe rest, I wish you peace and focus Steven.
Last but not least, can I submit you and Larry to the LOGO channel's 'First Comes Love' - read: 'my big fat gay wedding' show? It would be so ripe. Discuss with L-boog and let me know.

Saw an old friend on the street
She said today’s your wedding
My heart stopped
The tears dropped
Saw my whole life pass me by
I had to see you, baby
I never ran so fast before
I rushed inside the chapel door
You were waitin’ all alone
You turned around and heard me call
Congratulations
I thought it would have been me
Standin’ here with you
Congratulations
I hope you’re happy
‘Cause as long as I can breathe
You’ll always be the one for me, oh, oh
Why was I the last to know
I thought that we were special
My soul shakes
My heart breaks
As I turn and walk away
I can’t believe it’s over
We never really said goodbye
Thought we’d give it one more try
Felt our love was here to stay
And now today’s your wedding day
Congratulations
I thought it would have been me
Standin’ here with you
Congratulations
I hope you’re happy
Brought the wishes, baby
Oh...oh...tonight you and me
Because you ???
I-I thought it should have been me, oh...oh...oh...
But as long as I can breathe
You’ll always be the one for me
‘Cause as long as I can breathe
You’ll always be the one for me
Congratulations
Posted by Let Them Eat Cake / on Sep 16 @ 11:05 AMDid any of yall get that the brotha is overworked, overstressed, and inundated with obligations and responsibilities both socially-imposed and self-imposed?
Yall all caught up in the marriage stuff that yall missed the man and the message. It's not heteronormative to want to get married or to get married per se. It is heteronormative to get caught up in marriage as a concept so much that you lose sight of the men involved.
Steven, I wish you peace, rest, and balance. The rest will take care of itself. I love you brotha.
